THERE WAS ALOT more time spent on land than in water I must say.
Was still unable to get pass a quarter of the pool at the end of the afternoon. Nevertheless, great fun and great company… and at least I tried! 😜 Cable Ski Batam was a good consideration for a weekend trip away from Singapore (see my reviews at the end). But having tried both cable ski-ing and wake boarding though, I think I would prefer the latter.

The arrangement was fuss-free and our guide met us at Harbourfront Cruise Center, got to avoid the queues at Batam customs with express lane. We were lucky in that the weekend was filled with families and small children, hence the actual headcount for skiers was lesser. The place is fairly run-down but keeping up to the rustic feel, they have a few cabanas and a bar with mediocre shower facilities. Package was inclusive of ferry, ground transport and lunch.
Good experience for us first-timers and there were different boards to pitch the level of difficulty. The instructors were also patient and committed to teaching. Each time we fell from beyond the area, there was a motorbike to come pick us up to the start point. Can expect longer queues on other weekends, but no complaints as we had a lot of playtime from 10am to 5pm for the package we paid. -My TripAdvisor review (NaniSG)
