SG island hopping: In Pictures
THE LABOUR DAY weekend saw us heading to the offshore islands of Kusu and St John’s. It was a day spent in the sun, with colleagues of whom some brought their qtpie children along too.
For me, it was my first time venturing out to these islands. Apart from a change in the scenery from busy crowded mainland Singapore, the islands had sacred sites with temples to visit and pristine beaches to offer. The facilities there are basic and the ferries make you feel like you have stepped back in time to the 1980s. The rustic feel and quiet sanctuary provided some respite.
The ferry is a loop service dropping off at St John’s island first before heading towards Kusu island. Services depart from the Marina South Pier, check out the ferry schedule here.
